Does anyone know this logo?
« on: February 05, 2012, 09:26:58 PM »
I just listed these pliers on Ebay, and I have not seen this logo before.  It looks like an OM inside a diamond or possible a DM.

Thanks,

John

Wild guess....The Douglass Manufacturing Co., Seymour, Conn
(I can't find an example of their mark anywhere, but they did make mechanics tools, including pliers...)

Edit: On further info, the company may be too early for that style of pliers

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I thought of them too. But I can't say I've ever seen that logo before, nor have I seen Diamalloy referred to as DM...Diamond Manufacturing maybe? Doesn't sound right. Diamond had some pretty famously cool logos, if that is one of theirs, it's a 'not famous' one. I'm thinking it is something else.

Looking at it some more, I think now it is DM.  I will look in my EAIA Directory for possible companies.

I wonder if you should send an email to hmboo. I suspect it's European.
