 Heres a couple of wrenchs that followed me home from MVWC meet in York,Ne.
The P & O was needed for my IHC collection and the Litchfield is just a nice decorative wrench.
I think I'D rather collect the Litchfield than use it;doesn't look particularly useful,but I don't know its usage. They made manure spreaders and I'll admit I never adjusted one.

Yep...The Litchfield wrench is definitly one of those few wrenches that makes you stop and go...lookatthat!.

Who were P & O?  I know dad (Jimwrench) has a couple and was there when he bought this one, but I come up with zilch on AA or a google search.

Parlin Orendorff Company was a very large manufacturer of farm machinery, founded in 1880 in Canton Illinois, sold to International Harvester in 1919.

There isn't much online, as Wrenchmench says, Canton,IL, established by William Parlin 1842 (Probably inc '80) Made plows, cultivators, made the first lister in 1869... etc.

They are credited with helping make Kansas city the largest ag distribution point in the world at one point...

While they used 'P&O" as a tradename, they also used quite a few other names as well for various different impliments, Diamond, Canton,Jewel,Invincible,Parlin,Perfecto,Success.

In a strange twist of irony, they had Victor Jr as a tradename, but not Victor, because IHC already had that name.....
