For years I've had a G. M. Company's combination monkey wrench, tack remover, and hammer hanging on one of the wrench boards. I considered it a flawed wrench because the lower wrench jaw was not attached to the handle. Yesterday I found a second one of these. I picked it up and the jaw remained attached. There was a piece of spring metal stuck out-of-sight between the lower jaw and the handle. I bought it ($8). This afternoon I discovered the spring clips into the slot in the back of the jaw thereby stabilizing the jaw and making jaw adjustments much easier. A real Eureka! moment.
