Today's Find
« on: July 14, 2012, 01:32:37 PM »
Found this 9-inch "REX" quick-adjust pipe wrench today. A single tooth on the inside of the fixed handle "locks" the wrench opening size.  An Upstate New York masterpiece in nice shape, considering it's around 117 years old.

Very impressive! By the looks of those teeth its hardly been used, if at all.

So what exactly does it say there? I can see REX, and blah blah blah N.Y., but can't quite make out the rest...?

Auburn, New York

Pat. June 5 1894

As far as wear, this wrench has virtually none.
