Yesterday's Finds
« on: January 15, 2012, 02:12:04 PM »
Yesterday was cold with a high wind producing a chill factor in the high teens mid-morning in Northern Delaware. I picked up an S-wrench embossed with a "D", only this one was clearly made by Bonney.  For those of you with intact long-term memories, I have previously posted an unattributed S-wrench series, embossed A through E. Both the D wrenches shown below have 7/8" & 7/16" openings. The earlier  wrench with hex openings is 8 1/2" long, the Bonney wrench with reinforced "u-shaped" openings is 8 1/4" long. The hex-opening S-wrench weighs 7.8 ozs., the Bonney S-wrench weighs 7.3 ozs.  I do not yet know whether Bonney produced an A through E series, and whether the degree of similarity in these two wrenches is just a coincidence. Do any of you have a Bonney S-wrench with an alpha boss?
