Looks like 1923 or so. E-bay ad
-
Its the model "L" Silent Salesman wrench display board. Ad indicates 5 sizes of various design, 6 assortments of wrenches. I know of 2 other size "wrench" display boards, anyone know of any more than a total of 3?

What we would like to see is that board with all the proper wrenches on it.
-
its my goal. if its the "superior" doe's i got around a 1/3 of em. i gotta get it and see which set/style its pegged for.
-
When you determine exactly what style you are looking for, let us know, (with pictures).
Might be able to chip in some help.
-
The W-Diamond logo was first used in 1884. The trademark was issued in 1915. According to AA.

I'm trying to sort it out, i got the board and had the ad for it listing what wrenches were on it. If you look at the ad with the guy picking 1 out .... there 6 wrenches deep for each profile seen. When a jobber bought that board display it included 246 wrenches and weighed 174 lbs. thanks 4 the offer of help.
edit, i made a mistake here, the retail kit of the board included 6 of each size wrench. only 1was displayed on the board.
-
Williams logo changed a few times over the early years.
What era are you looking for?
AA has some info regarding the various logos.
-
doe wrenches with this logo. international 3414 will be also.
-
I grabbed these out of the spare wrench box but I see you just want DOE wrenches. The DOE is 7/8" x 1" , stamped 733, embossed with a "T". and has the logo you're looking for.

-
maybe ?,this board has 3 different diameter pegs...long enough to stack 3 wrenches
-
maybe ?,this board has 3 different diameter pegs...long enough to stack 3 wrenches
my board seems 2 have the same diameter lags for all holes. whats ur smallest diameter.
in my research so far i found my 90" board kit could be purchased in at least 2 different part numbers with different wrenches being displayed. this is a conundrum!
-
Are there empty peg holes?
-
Are there empty peg holes?
Yes, my board didn't have any pegs/lags with it. The holes are lag threaded from past use so i know it had lag L's or some type lag hook. All the wrenches were held by 2 of these at the head. I've figured out which board i have in relation to the wrench display layout BUT not a firm year yet. As u know the year will help me determine the logo head stamping. I'm gonna be posting moreabout this later with illustrations of 2 90" boards BUT with different wrenches on it.
-
looks like 4 different sizes, only one is 1/8"diameter (for the 75A wrench),thaats the smallest..............A,B, AND C might be the hardest to find????????????
got some wrenches coming in the mail
when i get some tools hanging, ill post a photo
-
is yours for 42,style # L...saw an ebay sold item 152392223976
-
Update,
I've determined that the board i bought displays wrenches in this way. The only illustrations i found for this 90" board date 1918,1921 and 1923.
Does anyone have this illustration 1924 or later showing the the "Underline Scroll" logo? Double clik to enlarge.

This is a ad from 1927 showing a 90" board , but a different wrench display layout. These wrenches will have the NEAT post 1924 "Underline Scroll" logo. Note underline logo in the ad!
(https://i.postimg.cc/v8NRKVGN/DSC02451.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/9zZNRzRd)
Both ads are touting the Superior line. thanks 4 any help.

I acquired a later model Williams wrench board with holes but no hooks.
I found a National brand "Square Bend" hook that screwed in perfectly.
Found at Menards.
You might pick up a couple of different sizes and try them in the holes.
(On the road and cannot post pictures)

I sent the wrench out this morning - and dontcha know, I was collecting stuff for sale out of the last lot of tools and came across this...
(https://i.postimg.cc/BZ796KVc/IMG-8202-01.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
7/16 x 1/2 - embossed with "T" on reverse. Not rusty but the jaws have some marring from slipping off bolt heads/nuts.
Let me know if you want this also, and I'll get it to you.

Yes, but maybe (if u want) hold it till finding more. I'll take it off list now. BTW, just put it on my tab LOL, LOL Hoping u'll be finding more!!! Thanks much.

OK. Will do. Swap meet season starts early in May. Rust & Relics at the Curtiss Museum. NY Steam Engine Ass'n on Memorial Day. And our motorcycle club swap meet mid May, sometimes tools show up there ( I try to encourage that).

Still looks good! Keep us posted on your progress.

"Wrong" wrenches or not, it still is an impressive display. Nice work.
-
Like the others said, correct or not, it looks really really good and it's great to see what others members have in their collections.
-
thanks, U know years back i had buckets of williams wrenches and really didn't do anythingwith 'em cause they're kinda common. At my "d" sale i don't think they brought $5 a bucket. Trigger pulling and filling the board makes williams worth it 2 me.

What is a Williams 994 wrench?
-
Spark plug wrench i assume from wrench list for that senior board. Don't know its size.

Yup, duh. Thanks
You have the other two?
-
No, just 1, the 933. The "A" prolly a diff size plus i'm not trying for suffixes. If i was going for suffixes i'd prolly only have 8 or 10. I've only found 2 in the wild. Another note, There isn't a hook/marked location for the 933 or 994, just placed across the boards 2 bottom mounting bolts that must stick out somehow. Most ebay sellers aren't putting part number in title either, bummer.

Bumping up for the holidays.
Need oval loge No. 1, No. 7 and a 994. The no.1 may only show the "W" in the sideways diamond.
thanks for any help.
-
Fingers crossed that you find them.
-
Is this one of the wrenches you need, it is single ended. To bad it is not in better condition.
-
Yes, The No. 1 and No. 7 are single end engineer wrenches. The No. 1 is small and seems impossible to find. Is that 7 available to purchase? PM if so.
-
Bumping.
Received a nice No.7 engineers wrench today.
So now down to 2 needed for the "Silent Salesman" Senior Board.
Oval logo wrenches wanted with below part numbers.
No.1, single head engineers wrench, top row left.
(As luck would have it..... Its the smallest on the board.)
I'm thinking it may not have the oval logo????
994 spark plug wrench, may not have oval logo only the "W in Diamond" logo.
thanks 4 any help.

Is this what you are looking for?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/203824591693?hash=item2f74e4734d:g:m1IAAOSwTdRgbPeW

No, that one is a 503, very similar looking but only marked with a embossed "1". Prolly will have that diamond w logo but not exactly sure about either.
Milled 1/2" for 1/4 USS nut. 4" long. Book shows 2 smaller than this.... I'm thankful I'm not looking for those.
Thank you.
