I got an email this morning to tell me my friend, Bob, who was my work partner in all my Civil War artificer work, passed away yesterday. It was sudden. He had gone to his son's house to do some work and it happened there. By the time his wife had got to the house, he had already been taken to emergency. When she got there, he had been pronounced dead.
Bob was the finest friend a man could ever have.

I'm sorry about your friend. It always seems like "life" should have given us a different hand. I'm always disturbed by the fact that so many great persons have died, and someone like me is still around. I'll never make sense of that. I'm truly sorry for your loss of an incredible friend. Keep your head up...
cheers,
bird.
