Title: Pipe Clamps
Post by: Yadda on June 25, 2022, 06:23:43 AM
I've been picking up larger clamps in preparation for some panel glue ups in the future.  I bought these pipe clamps at an est a te sale recently.  One US made Jorgensen and another US made clamp and three smaller no name clamps.

Good deal.   Use them a lot fixing old furniture.  Just wish they werent so heavy.

It is one of those things you seek to own in sufficient quantities.  Nothing like doing that glue-up and you need one more clamp and don't have it.

Tricky/bulky to store.  Pipe clamps that slide off help.  I haven't figured out storage either in the tool trailer or the tool room.

Nice setup, Jim.  I wish I had that real-estate to dedicate to clamps.

Hey Rascal,

I’m with you!  The pipes and the actual clamp fixtures are not easy to store and they’re heavy.  My clamp cart, all made from scrap wood, is on wheels.  It’s 18” wide and about 45” long.  I would have tried making some sort of wall rack to hang them on, but I don’t have the wall space.  The cart and five gallon bucket system works for the most part.  It’s not ideal, but at the same time, I’m not really willing to try coming up with a better idea nor spend the time and money to make something else.
