Adopted these 4 plomb box ends today at auction and guess what ? when I got home none of them were already living in my basement. got a couple of williams box ends and some other misc tools with them but the box was $17 under my target price of $20. You do the math. yes I am smiling.

Extremely good buying, you wouldn't worry about duplicating at that price, but it's even better when you don't! Do you think they are pre or post war?

Guessing prewar. They are in my 15A cat which I believe is 1930s. Don't have later cat to see if they carry over.

Nice DBE's.  I think that they are from around 1942.  That is when the changed  the "Made in USA" to one line.

Nice!

There are six DBEs in that 818x series. I just got my last one this morning to complete the set.

I also have a duplicate 8180, if you need it.

Thanks for the offer Frank but will just keep my eye open for missing ones at auction. Its the thrill of the hunt I enjoy.
