i,m off work with a dodgy ankle so thought i would root around the shed,you know,organise stuff.. i dont collect tools,dont have room,,my enjoyment comes from buying,cleaning then selling ..i was amazed to find i had all these guys.

It is a set of wrenches that are linked together. You keep turning to get to the size you want and the rest of them make the handle.

Looks like you are missing a Swinden quick adjust. It is a UK patent from around 1905 if I remember correctly.

A curiosity only, they never worked very well, and broke easily.

Something about those adjustables, they can accumulate.   I didn't think I had near this many of them either.   Just one in the basement, 2 on the bench, uh, 4 on the wall.  2 on the tractor etc.  In this pile is a black iron Diamond I bought on my foster grandfathers auction 37 years ago.  Jaws are twice the thickness of newer adjustables.  Benjy mind that ankle.
