That's good information abut the model T vs Model A spark plug wrenches... but at the risk of sounding ignorant, during what years was the model T made and what years was the model A made? This would help to estimate the date range of the both factory and aftermarket wrenches. BTW--I picked up a Ford scripted head bolt/SP wrench recently with a 1" opening (a model T wrench), but what's more interesting was an M-circle forge mark on the wrench beam. According to Alloy Artifacts, M-circle is the mark of Moore Drop Forging company. I always wondered what MDF did before they started making tools for Sears ca. 1938-1967. |

Here's a really really condensed version....
Model A-Original 1903-1904 (Only 1700 made) Model B-Original 1904-1905 (Only 500 made) Model C 1904-1905 Model F 1905-1906 Model K 1906-1908 Model N 1906-1908 Model R 1907-1907 Model S 1907-1909 (R,S are variants of the N) None of the above models were produced in large quantity... Model T 1908-1927 Model A 1927-1931 Model B 1932-1934 (4 cyl model B) Model 18 1932-1934 (V8 model B) Then it gets really messy... |

Thanks Rusty. That's about what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure of the exact years. Model T's and A's were just a tad before my time.
I'm assuming there is an early Ford site somewhere that has the production numbers for both of these models? |
