I don't think those are real rare. At least not around here. Ive got a couple three of those handsaws with the metal handles. One has a scene painted on it. I picked up the others with thoughts of doing the same to them. One is an ice saw and the others are for crosscutting wood.

Yes. they did. The difference is that ice saws have much larger teeth and are straight back. The one posted has a skew back and about 4 or 4 1/2 tpi.

I was just thinking the same thing about Ice Saws - This one threw me off, I would of never guessed what the saw was.
