US Industries Shop Chief????
« on: September 19, 2011, 06:44:35 PM »
Old and takes its power from a 3/8" drill.  Anyone seen one or used one.  belt is really small and could be hard to locate.  Unit works well.  Google gurgled and came up with nothing.

TIA

From the 50's....

United States Industries Inc seems to have moved to New York, and there are references to them into the late 80's, but I can not find anything current..
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Ron Darner probably has one or two. If not, he will know about them.

That is just cuter'n a speckled pup!!
Probably from the days you would pay as much for a 3/8" hand drill as you would for a 10" full bed metalworking lathe.
Portable electric drills were such hot property once it was ridiculous. Luxury goods.

I have seen lots of drill attachments, but I never saw this one!!
